Principal partners Jon Vaught and Basil Boutris, of counsel, are widely regarded as experts in their fields of practice, and are regularly consulted by other attorneys and legal organizations to provide knowledge, guidance, and insight.
Founding partner Jon Vaught is certified as a Specialist in Taxation and a Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law by the California Board of Legal Specialization. He has been an adjunct professor at Golden Gate University School of Law, LL.M. Taxation Program since 1994. He is currently teaching courses in both the LL.M. Taxation Program and the LL.M. Estate Planning program at GGU.

Jodi Phillips-Coleman is an associate attorney with Vaught & Boutris, LLP. She is a dedicated estate planning attorney who counsels and advises clients on estate planning matters, routinely preparing revocable trusts, wills, durable powers of attorney and advance health care directives. Additionally, Mrs. Phillips-Coleman handles probate and trust administration and estate litigation matters. She is skilled in solving complex administration and estate planning issues, advocating and negotiating for clients, and bringing resolution to trust and estate conflicts.
